Every child in rural China has access to state-of-the-art educational opportunities
Evergreen programs have enhanced educational opportunities for middle and high school students in the Evergreen network.
Since 2001, Evergreen Education Foundation has brought many educational opportunities to rural China. The following numbers reflect our outcomes:
1,926 SCHOLARSHIPS…were provided to 677 individual students from 17 schools located in 9 rural provinces
OVER 330 STUDENTS…of the 677 scholarship-winners attended universities, with some admitted to the 1st tier universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University; Other students were well employed
56 RURAL LIBRARIES…from 9 provinces were assisted with service automation and development, which resulted 1 of the libraries being promoted two times in a row in the National Public Library Rating, and 2 school libraries becoming the regional school-library-training-bases
OVER 130 PROJECTS…were completed in form of small projects, and 39 extended large-scale projects from 2015-2016
12 TRAINING WORKSHOPS…were provided for rural educators and librarians
7 International Technology In Education Conferences…which were jointly hosted
OVER 1400 RURAL EDUCATORS AND LIBRARIANS…have been sponsored to attend Evergreen sponsored workshops/conferences
1 STUDY TOUR…of 30 teachers/librarians to libraries and educational/cultural institutions in Taiwan
17 ACADEMIC PAPERS…co-authored by our rural teachers/librarians and researcher volunteers have been presented at well-established international conferences such as IFLA and IASL, or published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Library Trends.
Gates Foundation Access to Learning Award 2004
In 2004, the China Evergreen Rural Library Service Center , the Foundation’s administrative arm in China, was awarded the 2004 Access to Learning Award by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for its accomplishments and innovative approach.
Appreciation Letter from TongWei County Library 2010
In 2009, Tongwei County Library was promoted to a National 2nd Class Public Library, because of its circulation automation and addition of information services, including the e-reading room. The library sent the appreciation letter to Evergreen Education Foundation before end of Chinese lunar year 2009 (Feb. 2010 of the Western calendar), since both services were supported, helped and guided by the Foundation.

Evergreen Education Foundation is an active and vetted member of the GlobalGiving community with a Superstar status as of December 31st, 2016.
